About Matamanoa Island Resort
Matamanoa Island Resort is a small, intimate and secluded private Island Resort set in the beautiful Mamanuca Islands approximately 30 kilometres West of Nadi International Airport which is 10 or 12 minutes flight by Helicopter, one hour plus by Catamaran.
The Island boasts a volcanic cone jutting out of the turquoise/aqua blue waters of this unspoilt area of the Fiji Islands. Clad with dense bush and palm trees, the brilliance of the vegetation contrasts magnificently with the white curved sandy beach and pristine coral reefs. The coral reefs surrounding Matamanoa are a permanent marine sanctuary.
Created for those who want to forget the pressures of their business or busy lifestyle or for those who dream of peace and tranquillity in beautiful surroundings. In an effort to achieve this special atmosphere, Matamanoa Island Resort has adopted a year round policy of not permitting children under the age of 12 years.
Matamanoa Island has twenty (20) Beachfront Bures and (13) airconditioned Hotel Rooms set amongst the tropical gardens.
Matamanoa Island can offer you total relaxation or a wide range of leisure activities and cultural excursions. Swim in the infinity pool or in the beautiful Pacific Ocean, play tennis or sip a cocktail at the Bar as you watch the sun set and take all the time you need to discover the magic of this beautiful Island. Learn to dive with the professionals, sail around some of the surrounding Islands, visit the local village for the shell market or just lie back and relax with a professional massage.
All nonmotorised Watersports are complimentary as is daily hand line fishing and daily snorkelling safari on our Glass Bottom Boat.
Dining on Matamanoa Island is simply a matter of choice. Dinner offers two menus, the first an a la carte and the other a table d'hote, both menus are changed nightly, Saturday evening is an sumptuous Seafood Buffet and BBQ, combining international and local cuisine.
Lunch offers an extensive a la carte menu, with a range of choices for everyone, plus a daily blackboard special of a table d'hote menu and pasta of the day.
Breakfast is included in the accommodation rate and is a full American breakfast cooked to order.
In 2004 Matamanoa totally renovated front of house facilities, including a beautiful new horizon pool, al fresco extension to the Restaurant overlooking the ocean, new Granite Top Bar, new Reception, state of the art tiles and paving tiles throughout.
In December 2006, Matamanoa completed total refurbishment of it's 20 beachfront bures. The colours selected, wheat, cream and aubergine blend beautifully with the hand painted tapa ceilings.

13 Air Conditioned Tropical Garden Resort Rooms
The airconditioned Hotel Rooms have one (1) queen size bed, built in wet bar, spacious wardrobe, bath robes, table and chairs, luggage rack, personal safe, hair dryer and outdoor table and chairs on the Patio facing tropical gardens. Daily Maid Service and Nightly Turndown.
Other Details
Honeymooners receive a hand crafted wooden plaque with their Christian names engraved, a bottle of sparkling wine and a tropical fruit platter.
